The coronavirus (COVID-19) booster vaccine dose helps improve the protection you have from your first 2 doses of the vaccine, and helps give you longer-term protection against getting seriously ill from COVID-19. You will become eligible for the booster vaccination 180 days / 6months after you received your second dose.
You will likely get a centrally generated letter inviting you to book at one of the National Vaccination Centres. This will give you options to have your vaccine at centres such as those in Ollerton or Newark Showground.
We will also send you a booking invitation by text message. This will give you options to have your vaccine more locally – either at here at the practice in Tuxford, or at the vaccination centre at Retford Outpatients department.
